Las Vegas is known as the city that never sleeps, and once you start realizing just how many things there are to do, it’s easy to see why. Vegas has something for everyone, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Sure, there’s gambling in Las Vegas, but there is a lot more to this desert city than that. If you’re heading out to Sin City for a wild ride, be sure to check out some of these other attractions along the way!
Take in the Brilliance of the Neon Museum
The Neon Museum is one of the coolest museums out there, so do yourself a favor and check it out while in Las Vegas. They offer guided tours, where you can see the old marquees from the days of old, vintage Vegas.
On top of that, it is now home to “Brilliant!” which is a permanent art installation by artist Craig Winslow that utilizes projected augmented reality technology to bring this neon boneyard back to life.
Enjoy the Food and Drinks in Chinatown
Yes, Las Vegas has an awesome, yet unexpected and under-hyped Chinatown of its own, and it’s only a few blocks west of the Strip. It’s a hub of culture and cuisine. Come hungry, because you’re going to have a hard time making up your mind between the mouthwatering options.
And it’s not just cuisines like Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, but you’ll find some fusion, and even French or Spanish sprinkled in.
Hit Up Celebrity Chef Spots
Speaking of amazing food, take the opportunity to visit some celebrity chef-owned restaurants while in Las Vegas. I don’t have any data to back this up or anything, but I’m pretty sure that Vegas has more celebrity chef spots per capita than anywhere else.
Have some truly excellent dishes from restaurants owned by all your favorites: Emeril, Wolfgang, Morimoto, Chang, Flay, Fieri, and Symon, just to name a few. But if you really crave something different, hit up Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars.
Try Camping at EDC
Las Vegas knows how to party, and the Electric Daisy Carnival hosted at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the party to rule them all. It’s a crazy 3-day dusk-til-dawn party with nonstop DJs on several stages, and there are over 140,000 attendees every night.
And now, to help you avoid the nightmare traffic to and from the event, there is a campground site so you don’t have to leave all weekend. There are both luxury pods or air-conditioned tents to choose from.
Play With Heavy Machinery
If you’ve ever dreamed of having free reign over all the heavy equipment on a construction site, Las Vegas has something fun for you. Dig This Las Vegas, is basically a giant sandbox for grown-ups.
You can get behind the controls of heavy machinery like an excavator or a bulldozer, or enjoy an “Aggression Session” where you get to smash up a car.
