Driving Experiences for Adrenaline Junkies

Imagine for a moment the rush of adrenaline from driving an absurdly expensive sports car at twice the legal speed limit. Just a daydream, right? At least for anyone that’s not a professional driver.

But in all actuality, you can get out there and actually live this experience! There are driving experiences all around the world, and they’re not all the same, either. Depending on you personal taste, you could get out there and throw dirt in a rally car, take on the track in a supercar of the highest caliber, or get behind the wheel of an unbelievably fast NASCAR car.

Here’s just a few of the many experiences available out there to satisfy your need for speed and adventure!

Nascar Racing Experience

NASCAR is one of the most popular sports in the US, but can you imagine being able to drive one of these race cars? They offer plenty of different experiences, from riding along with a professional racing instructor, to driving the track all by yourself for timed sessions, to meeting Richard Petty himself!

You can book experiences at 16 different speedways across the US, but if you want to meet Richard Petty, you have to travel to the Charlotte Motor Speedway in NC!

Exotics Racing

As the world’s largest supercar driving experience, Exotics Racing lets you choose from over 50 exotic cars, 23 race cars, and even go-karts. Pick your poison: Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche….the list goes on! They have locations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Spring Mountain, NV.

Vore Adrenaline Compound

If you’re looking for something truly adventurous, do some serious off-roading and tear up the desert outside of Las Vegas at Vore. You can get out there behind the wheel on a pro level short course track, jump in a Roush Mustang for a drift experience like no other, or sign up for a multiple day desert tour.

Jeep Jamboree

This one is a little bit different than the other driving experiences, and it’s for Jeep owners only! Jeep Jamborees are off-road adventure weekends with locations all around the world. They’ll put your Jeep through the grind with plenty of off-road obstacles and demanding terrain. All Jeeps must be outfitted with a list of required equipment and pass a vehicle evaluation.

Ford Performance

This high-performance driving school, at the Utah Motorsports Campus, is the only school backed by Ford (I bet you couldn’t have guessed that!). They have programs available for all ability and skill levels, and they also have exclusive driving experiences for Ford owners.

Take a few heart-pounding laps on their world-class track, which is the longest in North America. They also do off-road vehicles and go-karts, but the real adrenaline junkies will want to experience the high-speed performance of Mustang GTs, or the 444 horsepower BOSS 302FRS.

Dirtfish Rally School

If you love off-road rally racing and want to kick up some dirt behind the wheel of a high-performance rally car, this school on 300 acres outside of Seattle, WA is the place of your dreams. It’s in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain range to be exact, and it has been used to film car shows and production features.

They have a diverse selection of cars for you to drive, but they are also the only location in North America where you can drive the Olsberg MSE SuperCar Lites Rallycross car!

Frank Hawley Drag Racing School

Frank Hawley is an NHRA World Champion driver, and his school in Gainesville, FL has been the leader in racing instruction and entertainment for nearly three decades. The drag racers used for training here can go from 0-60 mph in three seconds and reach 130 mph in the ¼ mile, giving drivers the chance to experience the adrenaline rush of driving a big block powered dragster.

Cory Kruseman Sprint Car & Midget Driving School

This driving school is located in Ventura, CA, and is run by Cory Kruseman, a professional race car driver with plenty of championships and records under his belt. Get some seat time in a Sprint Car or Midget Car for something a little outrageous and completely different. These vehicles are small, but with huge engines, so they’re really fast and powerful.
