Fly High With the World’s Best Places to Zip Line

There are very few things cooler than soaring through the air over breathtaking sights and native wildlife. Zip lining provides a unique experience with a birds-eye view that you just can’t achieve any other way.

It’s understandable, then, that zip lines are growing in popularity around the world as a vacation activity. So if you’re planning your next trip, be sure to check out these zip line tours that you absolutely must experience!

Icy Strait Point, Alaska

The zip line at Icy Strait Point can send up to six riders side-by-side at a time at a top speed of 65 mph. It has a panoramic view of Port Frederick and surrounding islands, mountain peaks covered in evergreen trees, and ends on the beach at Icy Strait. If you’re not afraid of the cold, you should visit in the winter to take in breathtaking sights of the snow-capped mountains.

Jaguar Paw, Belize

If you’re looking for something a little different, what about ziplining into a cave? Jaguar Paw Cave in Belize offers just that. You’ll start by flying through the lush, green canopy of the jungle, before zipping into a stalactite-filled jungle cave. It’s also part of the Nohoch Che’en Archaeological Reserve, so don’t miss out on seeing ancient Mayan ruins while you’re there.

Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica

Costa Rica is known for its abundance of amazing zip lines, but this is one of the best that you absolutely have to check out if you head to Costa Rica. The Arenal Volcano is one of the most impressive and breathtaking volcanoes of Costa Rica.

It was one of the most active volcanoes in the world until 2010, and is currently dormant. The foothills of this volcano are also home to one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the country, adding to the beauty of this zip line tour.

Labadee, Haiti

Dragon’s Breath is a zip line on Royal Caribbean’s private destination within the country of Haiti, so the only way to get to this zip line is to travel by cruise ship. The zip line is over 2,600 feet long. Starting from a point that is 500 feet above the beaches, it provides incredible views of the beaches, the coast of Haiti, and your cruise ship.

Waiheke Island, New Zealand

Experience Waiheke across three different zip lines, with dual cables that allow you to fly side-by-side with another person for a shared experience. The zip lines take you above a beautiful working vineyard, provide a magnificent view of the city of Auckland and it’s beaches, and they also take you above the thick bush of an untouched native area.

Orocovis, Puerto Rico

The zip lines here will leave you breathless, with stunning views of the mountains of Orocovis while you boost your adrenaline at speeds up to 65 mph. Toro Verde Nature Adventure Park offers a few different zip line options, but you have to check out La Bestia (The Beast) and El Monstruo (The Monster).

Stowe, Vermont

Although Vermont is a popular destination for skiing in the winter, it’s also a perfect destination in the fall to admire the colorful trees. Vermont doesn’t allow billboards to obstruct its beautiful mountain views, making the changing leaves even more beautiful.

The zip line starts near the top of Mt. Mansfield, which is Vermont’s highest peak, and has two side-by-side lines so that you can experience the beauty with a companion.
