Need Extra Cash? Earn Free Money With Apps

If you’ve been tossing around the idea of trying to make some extra cash, you might want to start looking at your phone for opportunities. You could be making money on apps. I know it probably sounds too good to be true, but there are plenty of legit money making apps for earning extra money.

There’s no catch, and you can earn money or other bonuses whenever your schedule permits. These free apps reward you for completing actions for brands, shopping at particular stores, watching videos, completing surveys, and more. All you really need is a phone capable of downloading and running apps. This can be accomplished with pretty much any Android or Apple iPhone currently on the market.

So check out this list of smartphone apps for money-making! It’s a great way to help financially support your bucket list habit!

Rakuten Rewards

This app (formerly Ebates) is one of the easiest ways to earn money from an app. It is actually a personal favorite of mine and I use it all the time. It’s a cash back and shopping rewards app. You shop with 1,800+ retailers through Rakuten, and they give you a percentage of cash back for each purchase. The cash back amount varies by retailer. They will send you your earned money every three months via old school paper check, or you can get your money through PayPal.

Aside from the regular cashback program, I’ve also seen them do special discounts, give double the cashback for a select period of time, and even offer cashback on purchases in-store.

Swagbucks

To earn money through this app, you accumulate points that can be redeemed for PayPal money, or gift cards from stores like Target, Walmart, or Amazon. According to their website, they’ve paid members over $348,704,019 so far.

There are a lot of different ways to earn points, so you don’t have to rely on just one way to earn. You can pick up points by completing surveys, watching videos, shopping, voting in daily polls, searching the web, completing special offers, and more.

iPoll

Get paid for your opinions. This app allows you to earn by completing surveys that take 15 to 20 minutes. You can do as few or as many surveys as you want to, but obviously, the more you participate, the more you earn. You can earn gift cards, magazine subscriptions, airline miles, and more.

Slidejoy

This app is for Android devices, sorry iOS users! You can get paid an average of $5 to $15 a month for putting ads on your Android device. Essentially, they show you the latest trending news or personalized ads on your lockscreen. You can slide left to learn more about it, slide up to see another, or slide right to use your phone as normal.

You don’t receive more or less money whether you engage with the content or not, so you get paid no matter what. It’s like making money for doing nothing!

BookScouter

If you’ve got a lot of old books, this app can help you make some extra cash by selling them. Use the app to scan the barcode (or enter the number manually) to compare buyback prices from leading book-buying websites. You’ll be able to choose the book-buyer offering the highest price for your book, and then ship it for free.

Loot!

Make real money by completing simple tasks. Participating companies ask users to do a variety of tasks, like sharing content on social media, taking photos with products, or downloading a specific app. The more actions you complete, the more points you earn that can be redeemed for cash or gift certificates.

AppTrailers

If you’ve got a little time to kill, you can use this app to get paid for watching trailers of new apps. The videos are only 30 seconds or less, and earnings start at 500 points, which is the equivalent of 50 cents. You can redeem your accumulated points for gift cards or money via PayPal.
